[ keeping this in journal just for ease of access, but once she's got all of her microscopic equipment set up on her desk she'll get to work.
First: taking small samples from various parts of the "corpse's" body (i.e. skin, different muscle areas maybe an organ if she can find one. are there organs??), and looking at them-- are they organic or inorganic? muscle, organ, or neither? does the ai generative look follow through even at a microscopic level? essentially: is this actual meat or fake meat.
Second: what happens if various household chemicals/water/real blood are added to it. that sort of thing. normal ]
[This looks NOT real. You're not sure what you're looking at. Is this even physical matter? It's kind of hard to tell, it's some weird mix of muscle fibers and spongey texture and almost like wispy clouds all mixed in one. It's definitely not a corpse but again, just how maybe someone imagined a corpse to be.
That said, chemicals do kind of make it bubble and burn some especially if its corosive.]
[ OKAY WELL. honestly that probably does it for what she's capable of working with with only a microscope and her own two hands. so she fixes up what she can of the thing, pens a note, and brings it to the Ghost Room to carefully lay it down in there-- with the empty vision marble she'd pulled out of it before-- and leave a nicely penned note folded atop it: ]
Greetings.
I believe this is the first I am directly addressing you, whoever you may be. Please forgive the intrusion.
We brought this back with us from a short adventure we took as a Family, and while I can confirm with some confidence that it is inorganic, I wish to ask for your consideration in this matter. My present theory is that these constructs were puppets, either failed or abandoned, which took energy from visions similar to the ones we've been receiving as "gifts."
Any information you are able to share, or thoughts you may have, I would be quite grateful for.
[You will find . . . a little marble, glowing! Much like the visions from early on, it seems to have something in it this time, but it doesn't seem like you can access it on your own.]
Day 247? 248? whatever. Experimentation time

if she eats a little piece of it does it TASTE like meat or more like, entirely inorganic. or like when vegans try to make beef jerky or something ]

These are visions, but they're not from us. They are currently empty.
On top of the weird corpse are a bunch of fake flowers.]

And what of this construct body? ]
Re: Day 247? 248? whatever. Experimentation time

I am inclined to agree.
Is there anything interesting to be done with it? ]

She'll go take the body back to her room then, but not before leaving a thank-you now with a cut live flower in the room.
Once there though she'll do as advised and investigate deeper into the construct. What else is in it!! ]

[ Holds it up to the light... then tucks it away somewhere safe and cleans up.
Corpse friend is going to be buried in the garden, because why not.
She'll leave a final note in ghost room: ]
Your assistance was much appreciated. Do you require recompense?

But that is not the case for all, I realize.
